About Lakewood Volunteer Fire
Department:
Lakewood Volunteer Fire Department proudly protects 2800-3000 people
living in our primary fire district of 3 square miles. We operate out of
one station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department
is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status.
Lakewood Fire Department has been serving the community since 1972.
The Lakewood area consists of approximately 900 homes, and 7 businesses.
We depend on funding from the county and state, as well as from the
community itself. Lakewood VFD also provides first-out dual and triple
response to our neighboring fire departments in Tornado and St. Albans'
West Side.
