A double-wide trailer on Legg Fork Road in Sissonville was destroyed by fire early today. The fire started about 4:35 a.m., forcing the trailer's three inhabitants to evacuate, said Sissonville Volunteer Fire Chief Tom Johnson. Flames spread and caused slight damage to a nearby double-wide, he said. No injuries were reported, and the cause is yet to be determined. The Red Cross was contacted to provide help to the victims, and the state Fire Marshal also was alerted. Legg Fork Road was closed for more than two hours as Sissonville and Tyler Mt. volunteer departments battled the blaze.
