A fire at a former meth house in St. Albans Thursday morning knocked out phone service for some people.
St. Albans police say the fire started just before 4am at an empty apartment near the corner of 6th Avenue
and 2nd Street. Dispatchers say the fire melted some phone lines, causing an outage for some customers.
Officers say a meth lab was removed from this apartment just last week. That’s why it was empty.
Investigators are still looking into what caused the fire.
