Charleston emergency responders work to clear an
accident at the Oakwood interchange of Interstate 64 Tuesday afternoon.
The multiple-vehicle wreck tied up the eastbound lanes on the interstate
bridge beginning at about 3:20 p.m., a Kanawha County 911 operator said.
Traffic was again moving freely by about 5 p.m. Two patients were taken
to the hospital with minor injuries, the operator said. About 19
emergency vehicles were on scene, partly because one of the people
involved in the accident began fighting with a police officer when he
arrived, she said. |
