Area 60 3/4/2008 MVA    A man was killed Thursday night after a single vehicle accident on MacCorkle Avenue in South Charleston. Lieutenant Dave Cunningham with the South Charleston Police Department says the driver, Daniel Elkins Jr., was headed west on MacCorkle when he somehow lost control of his car, causing it to rollover and hit a light pole near Montrose Drive. Elkins was trapped in his car and died after crews took him to the hospital, according to Cunningham. Investigators are still looking into what caused the accident.
