A family was without a home Tuesday night after a fire broke out late that afternoon. Firefighters tells us the fire started around 3:30 p.m. along Strawberry Road in St. Albans.

No one was home when the fire started, but one firefighter had to be taken to the hospital for heat exhaustion. Most of the damage to the building was contained to the attic.

A couple of buildings near the house sustained from some heat damage. We still don't know what started the fire
