Robert Wade "Bobby" Hammar, 61, of Pratt died April 30, 2010.

He was born in Kanawha County on September 11, 1948, and was the son of Mary Ellen Hammar of Pratt and the late John Wilbur Hammar.

He was a retired member of the Pratt Volunteer Fire Department with over 30 years of service and a member of Immaculate Conception/St. Anthony's Shrine Parish of Montgomery and Boomer.

Surviving: wife, Sarah Domokos Hammar; mother, Mary Ellen Hammer of Pratt; very special nephew, Kenneth McBrayer of Pratt; sister, Lyda Slack and her husband, Rex, of Midlothian, Va.; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Charles and Nancy Domokos of Mount Holly, N.C.; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 5, at St. Anthony's Shrine Catholic Church, Boomer, with Father John Rice as celebrant. Burial with fireman honors will follow in Koontz Cemetery, Clendenin.
